Collision damage rarely stops at the panels. Where an impact reaches suspension, steering, or drivetrain, that work happens here as part of the auto body repair rather than at a second shop across the county.

What impacts reach

A front corner hit bends control arms and steering knuckles. Ditch incidents and hard landings damage struts, tie rods, and axle components. Rear impacts move trailing arms. Around here, hitting something solid under snow does more than the speed suggests, because whatever is under there does not move.

None of this shows with the wheel still on, and some of it only appears once the vehicle is measured.

Sequence matters

Alignment set before the structure is corrected will drift straight back out. So it goes: measure and correct the structure, then replace damaged suspension components, then align. Any other order produces numbers that look right on the printout and do not hold once the vehicle is loaded.

One shop, one responsibility

Splitting a repair between a body shop and a second facility is how a vehicle ends up with two businesses each pointing at the other about a noise nobody will own. Keeping it here means one person is accountable for how the vehicle drives when it leaves.
